The daily driver. A 100 mm waist is wide enough to float on a refill day and narrow enough to hold an edge on the hardpack between storms. The freestyle rocker makes it quick to pivot in tight birch alleys, and the soft flex forgives the stumps and roots you can't see. I ski the 172 for a 17.5 m turning radius that still feels playful in the trees.
